How do we match your child in minutes?

You make three choices: your child's curriculum, the subject and the goal, such as exam preparation or building confidence. MyAPEX then matches a tutor who teaches that exact curriculum and exam board, from more than 10,000 verified tutors. Lessons are live, online and one to one, never group classes, and every lesson is recorded. Try the three choices here to see the kind of specialist we match.

One tutor, one learner: can lessons fit any timezone?

Yes. Every Apex lesson is live and online, so you choose times that suit your family's week: a school night in Dubai, a Saturday morning in London, or whenever works where you live. Your child keeps the same tutor each week, and every lesson is recorded so they can rewatch it; recordings are kept for 12 months. Questions parents ask

Online tutoring: the questions parents ask

Are Apex lessons online or in person?

Online only. Every Apex lesson is live and online, one tutor with one child, booked through the MyAPEX app. There are no home visits or in-person lessons in any country, so tutoring works the same way in Dubai, London or anywhere else with a good internet connection. Every lesson is recorded, and recordings are kept for 12 months.

How much does online tutoring cost?

Apex lists its prices in US dollars, per 60-minute online session. On the 2027 rate card, a single session costs $40 for Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel primary and lower secondary, $45 for IGCSE and International GCSE, $50 for AS and A Level, and from $50 to $60 across the IB, from the PYP to the Diploma. Monthly packages lower the price per session.

How do I find a good tutor for my child?

Start with the exact course, not just the subject. Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics (0580) and Pearson Edexcel International GCSE Mathematics A (4MA1) are different qualifications with different papers and grading scales, so look for a tutor who teaches your child’s board and syllabus code. Then check that reviews can be read at their source, and ask for the same tutor every week. Apex matches on curriculum, subject and goal.

What are Apex Academic Centre reviews like?

Apex holds a 5.0-star rating from 65 verified reviews (56 Google + 9 Facebook), checked by the independent verifier Trustindex. We show reviews word for word and never edit them or fold them into a marketing number. One Google review reads: “Most amazing, caring, knowledgeable tutor EVER.” Another says: “Professional tutors, thank you for your help.”

Does Apex offer online tutoring in the UAE and the UK?

Yes. Apex tutors families in the UAE, the UK and other countries, always online. Lessons cover Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel and the IB, and your tutor is matched to your child’s curriculum and timezone rather than your city. Families in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the other emirates book the same way, and our UAE page explains Years and Grades and lists prices in US dollars.

IGCSE or IB: which is better?

Neither is better for every child, and they are not the same stage. Cambridge IGCSE is aimed at students aged 14 to 16 and is usually followed by A Levels or the IB Diploma. The IB runs from age 3 to 19: at 14 to 16 an IB school teaches the Middle Years Programme, then the Diploma, six subjects plus the core, scored out of 45. Apex tutors both.

Is online tutoring safe?

Apex builds safety into the format. Every lesson is live and one to one in the MyAPEX app, and every lesson is recorded, with recordings kept for 12 months, so you can watch any session back. You see bookings and lessons from one dashboard, your child keeps the same tutor each week, and every tutor on the platform is verified.
